An outstanding range of funeral services from a local
company you can trust...
Founded to serve the local community by people with a passion for public service.
Alexander Easton Funeral Directors was founded in 1993 by Alexander Easton to serve the people of Bonnybridge and the surrounding area, who had very little choice of Funeral Directors to choose from. Our mission was to drive up funeral standards while keeping costs to a very reasonable level.
Alexander was assisted by his son Graeme. The Easton Family for generations have served their country and the communities they live in. Alex served with the Black Watch and saw active service in Korea where he provided essential radio communications for the allied forces,. He was wounded in action and airlifted by the Americans to a MASH type field hospital where he made a full recovery.
After serving in the military Alex joined the Stirling and Clackmannan Police Force and went on to protect and serve various communities in the force area.
Graeme has had 32 years frontline fire service with the then Lothian and Borders Fire Brigade, becoming a specialist height appliance Driver/Operator. Graeme became part of the Tactical Ship Firefighting Team whose role was to deal with ship fires in dock in the Forth estuary and in coastal waters.
After the twin towers tragedy, he became part of the New Dimension Team formed to deal with any biological, chemical, or radiation incidents and help provide mass decontamination for the public should the unthinkable happen here.
Graeme is a qualified Funeral Director and a fellow of the British Institute of Funeral Directors and a British Institure of Embalmers qualified Embalmer. He is a Registered Tutor of the BIFD. This allows him to teach the British Institute of Funeral Directors suite of Professional Qualifications, the highest Funeral Qualifications available in the UK at level 4 on the national qualifications framework. They are accredited by Greenwich and London Birkbeck universities. No other funeral qualification in the UK has this status.
Because the firm is wholly owned by the Easton family, they do not answer to shareholders or have to follow any corporate rules. They can offer all of the care, time and attention required by families on an individual basis unlike the corporate owned funeral companies.
When you call us by telephone your call will be usually be answered by a member of the Easton family and not by a call centre, giving you someone to talk to with local knowledge at their fingertips who knows how to get things done according to local customs, traditions and practices without fuss.
We have a fleet of the latest Jaguar limousines and our embalming and storage facilities are second to none.
Alexander Easton Funeral Directors supports national and local charities in the lifesaving sector, the benevolent sector, and the animal sector. Unlike some others, we do not boast about how much we raise, or seek recognition. We just get on and do it with the minimum fuss.
